Mentoring session frequency varies based on your needs and preferences at any given time or stage in your journey. Typically, we recommend starting with weekly sessions to establish momentum and make consistent progress. As you gain confidence and traction towards your goals, sessions might transition to bi-weekly or monthly. The flexibility of our approach allows for adaptability of session frequency to your ever evolving requirements, wants, and needs, while ensuring optimal service, support, and accountability measures for your success.

It's completely normal to feel uncertain about your goals and/or direction. Our process begins with an initial assessment where we'll work together to understand your motivation and clarify your aspirations, priorities, and values. Through insightful questioning and exploration, we'll collaboratively uncover your passions and potential areas for growth. If you're not entirely sure about your goals, we can help you gain clarity and chart a course that aligns with your authentic self. Remember, the journey towards a clearly defined path is an integral part of the process itself.

Yes, many Mentors do help people at no cost at all...and that's fantastic because it can be very rewarding for both parties. In fact, I have been happily mentoring, helping, and guiding people for over 25 years now, without compensation or expectations. I did it because it felt good, and that’s what you do if you can and you’re so inclined.

But we're out to prove the need, and the corresponding business model, for affordable results-oriented paid mentoring. Additionally, be careful for what you ask for, or have been offered, by some who say they want to help We often see examples of 'free' mentoring that ended up costing a good amount of equity in the business. And let's not forget that sometimes 'free' advice is often worth little more than what we've paid for it.

Not initially. MentorMyBiz is a relatively new concept so all clients will begin working one-on-one exclusively with Steve Brown, the founder of MMB. It is our intention to add vetted and specialty-focussed Mentors as we grow, and you will have an opportunity to work with them if it's in your best interest.

Yes, we take a very personal approach, that's the cornerstone of the MentorMyBiz program. A Mentor is only able to work effectively with a small, select number of clients at any given time...generally between 20 and 50 'active' clients (with 100 clients, both active and non-active, being the absolute maximum number of clients that should be working with any one Mentor).

You can cancel anytime. If you’re not seeing the value, or not earning (or saving) an amount in multiples of what you’re investing, than this relationship has not delivered and you should sever ties immediately...not unlike any other business relationship you might have.

Send us a note that you'd like to cancel and when, we'll stop your plan, and there will be no future billings. Simple as that. We'll even pro-rate a refund for you if you'd like to cancel before the end of a billing period.

MentorMyBiz can refer you to any number of professionals and experts that you may require to establish, build, and grow your business. All are specialists in their field and work in the following areas; legal, tax and accounting, sales and marketing, investment and finance, engineering and tech, design, prototyping, market research, test marketing, operations and distribution, manufacturing, etc.

We may, though it's not something to hang your hat on. MentorMyBiz is not in the venture capital business and does not actively look to acquire an interest in outside ventures, however, the possibility does exist. More likely is that we'll offer to help find and/or structure an investment deal that would be suitably beneficial to all concerned. Almost always, good projects, by good people, can find good investment capital.

While everyone's version or opinion of 'value' will be different, you should consider a few key elements; will we save you far more money than the cost of the program? Will we help you generate revenue far greater than the cost of the program? Are we actively helping to create or enhance the business and lifestyle you desire? Are you feeling increasingly positive and confident in developing your vision? Are you moving forward or still spinning your wheels? These are among the tell-tale signs that can determine how much value is derived from the program.

Anybody that needs some help with their business is likely to benefit from a MentorMyBiz relationship but first-time entrepreneurs, people with a great idea but don't know where or how to start, and smaller established business owners looking to grow will probably find the biggest benefit.

MentorMyBiz is likely NOT for well seasoned executives or veteran business owners/entrepreneurs who already 'know their stuff'...and should maybe be mentoring others! Let's talk.

The short answer is...as long as it takes! Consistency and persistence will always play a part in determining your success and you should be prepared to make a commitment to that. How much of a role MentorMyBiz plays in helping you achieve your goals will obviously differ for everyone. Sometimes all you need is a little 'push' to get you over the hill and it may amount to just a few weeks or months, other times it may take much longer to achieve what you've set out to accomplish. Or you may only need help 'once in a while' or 'here and there' and that can generally be structured within the program (subject to availability of scheduling).

There may be any number of reasons you'd like to press 'pause' on your plan; you've successfully tackled the challenge you had, you're busy implementing the strategies we've come up with and it will take some time to employ them and/or evaluate them, you're going on holidays, taking the summer off, etc. Whatever the reason, all MentorMyBiz plans provide a 'Pause Program' option (of varying lengths) where you won't be billed, cancelled, or lose your seat at the table until you press 'play' again.

Canceling a plan is not something we take lightly, and it's not something we would do without talking to you first. The MentorMyBiz mandate is such that we want to help those that need and will benefit from our help the most. Given our self-imposed restriction on how many people we believe we can work with at any given time, we may look to cancel plans where we believe the goals have been fully achieved OR where the client is not keeping up his or her end of the bargain by doing the work required. Or maybe it's just not a 'good fit' after all and we don't believe we're working well together or you're seeing much benefit in working with us. In any case, you'll never be side-swiped by a cancelation of your plan, but MentorMyBiz does require the flexibility to work with the clients of our choosing.

MentorMyBIz recognizes that we live in a digital and fast-moving world and pretty much everyone has a communication device in their hands at all times now. Our 'Text Concierge' service allows for short, quick conversations, questions and answers, when that's all that's required at the moment. The 'Text Concierge' service is provided only with select plans.

Yes and no. While certain plans do allow for our 'Text Concierge' service and/or longer form email responses from us, it is NOT recommended that you rely exclusively on these modes of communication to get the most benefit from the program. Even the occasional meeting will allow for discussions that may stimulate unseen opportunities, or open the doors to new strategies, that would not otherwise materialize from communication via texts or emails alone.

Will we refund your money if it doesn't work for you?

Well you can cancel anytime and not be billed any further, and we'll even pro-rate a refund for you if you cancel before the end of a billing period, BUT we do not typically issue refunds if you're only of the opinion that the program hasn't worked for you. In rare or exceptional circumstances we may agree with you that we have not been able to deliver you what was expected, or what we thought we could deliver, and if that's the case we may well decide that a refund is in order. We're not obliged to, but we're not in the 'money for nothing' business either.

While coaching, consulting, counselling and the like may all aim to support your business and/or personal growth, they each have different and distinct approaches to go about it. MentorMyBiz borrows from each and is forward-focused, centred around setting and achieving goals, enhancing performance, and unlocking potential.
